Trouble with groups/profil

did you enable group notices in your opensim.ini ?

As DJ Devil already mentioned, the reason for disabled group notice could be a missing "NoticesEnabled = true" in the [Groups] section of your OpenSim.ini.

The terminal script is here for those, who already have OpenSim users and also Joomla users, but installed jOpenSim later. In this case the component does not know, which Joomla account belongs to which OpenSim account.

If terminal is enabled, a Joomla user without relation to an OpenSim account will see in "Your OpenSim Account" not just the "create OpenSim Account", but also a "identify inworld" button with further instructions:

Besides a list of registered terminals (= prims with this script inside) and their location, it also gives the identify command (e.g.: /555 identify 9d31db0a-f468-112f-b294-001c256a807b). The user now just needs to go in the near of such a terminal, type the command and jOpenSim will attach the Joomla account to the OpenSim account.

It is basically the same like the "user relation" part in the Joomla admin, but initiated by the user him/her self and was requested by some grid masters who had hundrets of users where it would be too much of work doing all the relations manually.

As far as i am aware the notices onnly work when you have messaging enabled which is disabled in your case try enabling it and report back

Enabled group notices in the opensim.ini now but still doesn t work. Can not send group notices.#Thank you for your help

Have you read www.jopensim.com/forum/jOpenSim/896-Notices-Tab-Greyed-out.html and tried the manual changes described in there?

In some cases (mostly on win server and/or 32Bit) there seem to be some difficulty with those high values ...

I will see if I can add some test value display script to see if that can cause the problem...

Greetings Foto, I changed the value in the ower role of the database and groupnotices works now
I m running opensim and joomla on windows server 2008 rc2, joomla and the databases were built from the pleskbackend. Maybe a securityissue there ?.
