Thanks for the information. I will look into other interfaces for OpenSim then, or if I can get the cobwebs cleared from this old head of mine I will make my own for Joomla.
There is so much I have forgotten. I used to be able to interface just about anything with Joomla when I ran my Internet radio station.

Have you look at www.outworldz.com/Outworldz_installer/ as it may be more suited to you, since you say you prefer 'plug and play' type solutions. As mentioned, OpenSim on it's own is most definitely not PnP!
Not sure what your aim is, but if you host OpenSim on your own computer then perhaps you could also host the website there? I use dynu.com who offer a great way to use DDNS which may work for you.

Can you run a mysql server on the same server you are running sim on ?
