Don't work on 2.5.4

I tried to install on a fresh joomla 2.5.4 : extension manager don't upload the zip and even if i put manually the com_opensim in the component folder there's no way. Using Discovery extension works and joomla says that install it, i can see in the menu the related voices, but they dont work. There's a plan to update jopensim to the latest joomla?

I do have a development platform with Joomla 2.5.4 installed and jOpenSim works fine there with me. Even this website here is on 2.5.4 ...

Did you install successfully other extensions in your Joomla? If the extension manager fails to upload the zip file, this many times indicates missing write permissions on some folders for Joomla.

Check folder and file permissions.... sounds like you dont set up the right permissions to "upload" the files...

Go to your admin backend, click on "Site" then Systeminformations.
there you have 5 tabs. click on the 4th tab (Folder Permisson) and look if you have set on every file/folder the right permissons (writeable). if not, log in to your ssh console or FTP switch to the path of your joomla installation and set up folder permission 777 of all listet files and folders of the list.

if you use linux and ssh you have to use the follow command to set the permissions:
chmod 777 administrator/components administrator/language administrator/language/en-GB administrator/language/overrides ........

This will be the fastest way to setup the permissions...
