Block certain viewers

Maybe this question doesnt belong here, but maybe someone knows the answer.

How can certain viewers blocked from opensim?, a firewall doesnt seem to help much.

I guess you think of this due to certain \"content grabber\". All I found is <a class=\"postlink\" href=\" opensimulator.org/mantis/view.php?id=5031\ "> opensimulator.org/mantis/view.php?id=5031 so I think you\'re not the only one with this question.

But unless you want to change the source code of opensim itself, there is currently no way I know to block viewers on an easy way <img src=\"{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_confused.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"Confused\" /> Lets hope there will be such a feature in an upcoming version of OpenSim.

This is certainly something that I hope will be done with opensim. The ability to block by mac address, IP, etc.. via the console entry to the grid account. Not sure how feasible it is. However, at the lower level you can use a default to deny acl firewall rules for IP, but it won\'t do any good for basing what client is being used on your server. This would have to be something done through opensim as mentioned.

I\'ve thought about this as well, and hope it\'s implemented to some degree via opensim.
