Problem with the component..

Hi,

I\'ll try to explain my problem, I hope you\'ll understand (my english is not perfect <img src=\"{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"Very Happy\" /> ).
When i upload and install the component on my joomla, all is ok.
But when i try to config the joomla\'s com, I have somes errors.

Don\'t know why, I have those messages.. but i cannot config the host name, opensimdatable etc...
Maybe someone can help me ^^

Btw I use Joomla 1.15.22.

Hi nAm and welcome to the forum!

The errors as my logs point out, are easily fixable. What you have there will not keep the component from operating on Joomla 1.5. But the component is not compatible with Joomla 1.X. I take it you mean 1.5.22 in which this component does fine with.

I\'m not sure if you have debugging turned on or not, but those errors won\'t show up on your pages either front end, or backend under normal conditions.

If you choose to open the files as shown, look for the errors as the log points out and change for example [USER] to [\'USER\'].

After the next release is available, I\'ll fix those errors and post a copy here on the forum.

Not sure why you cannot set the configuration. The errors that you posted will not affect configuration settings nor from it working. If you have other errors in the logs, post those and someone will look at them. There must be something else wrong if you cannot configure and get it up and running.

Oh my god ! My bad, I just noticed, my OpenSim is 0.6.9 and not 0.7.x... Sorry.. <img src=\"{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"Sad\" />
But yes you are right, those messages are just \"Notice or Warning\" so it won\'t affect directly the component.

I have a question, do you have a component which work with this version, 0.6.9 ?

Edit : I checked your older versions, when you made the 0.0.1 or/and 0.0.2, it was with OpenSim 0.7.x ?

I\'m sorry, but I started jOpenSim from the beginning for OpenSim 0.7.x. And there are too many database differences that a \"porting down\" for OpenSim 0.6.x would make sense.

Concerning the messages from PHP: I just released the new version 0.1.8 RC3 today that should have hopefully no warnings/notices anymore <img src=\"{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"Wink\" />

Ok so I can\'t use this component. Maybe i can switch my opensim 0.6.x to 0.7.x without delete my buildings..
I think you won\'t know the answer, I will check some opensim\'s forums about this case. ^^

Hi it\'s me again, since I didn\'t find a solution for update my opensim 0.6.x to 0.7.x. I have a question.
Maybe you can help me, I see on my database (in the table \"users\") two kind of password :
- passwordHash
- passwordSalt

I would like to know what kind of encoding, those 2 values are. (md5 ? etc..).
I want to make a \"module\" for making users via a browser. (ie, firefox, etc..).

I hope you can help me. Thanks ^^
