Emails showing on different accounts

I have had jopensim on my websites for some time now, bu recently it was reported that someone elses email was showing up on one of our users accounts. I think it might be caused bu the fact that they share the same last name and a Similar first name:

Len Bluemoon
Larry Bluemoon.

Anyway i didnt see this in the forum but i figured I would report it as it could have the potential of being a huge security issue

The users data is not read from it's first or last name but from it's 'PrincipalID' in the database. So it should not matter if the names are similar or not.

Can it be that someone by mistake made the wrong manual 'user relation' in the jOpenSim admin?

I agree with you that this would be a huge security issue if the error was caused by jOpenSim! So if this is not a human admin error (which always can be possible) I would ask you to provide me with more detailed information. I agree it is highly possible for an admin to have made a mistake, but I have gone over the record and even relinked the accounts. It might just be a glitch or something. If you would Like I can email you a screen shot of the event

That would be nice, yes please. I would like to see EXACTLY WHERE the wrong email turns up. If possible, could you please also send some screenshot or similar of the data rows of the affected users (e.g. from phpMyAdmin) in the tables

#__opensim_userrelation and #__users (in Joomla, where #__ is your own Joomla prefix)

UserAccounts (in GridDB of OpenSim)

There is no human readable password in those records, but it is still sorta confidential data. So please dont post it here, better email it to me
