Firefox vs IE and Chrome

First of all, thanks for the joomla component. It is exactly what I was looking for.
I have trouble getting it to work though...
First of all, the maps don't seem to work in firefox, but they do in IE and chrome.
If you are already aware of this, sorry for tellng you the obvious! If nobody else had the problem, forget it.

But, in my case the maplinks are different:

chrome and IE:

firefox:

It seems that firefox does not interpret the .DS. in view.html.php in the same way.

I "solved" the problem by replacing DS with '/', which I probably should not have done. I have no knowledge of html, php etc.

Anyway, maps now work on firefox, IE and Chrome.

This is the first time, this problem is reported!

First, you should know, that "localhost" will only work from the computer where OpenSim and Joomla is running on, but from no other place...

%5C is the url code from "/" which should usually not be any problem. I could imagine that some templates change the charset in the meta tag in the head that will cause different browsers interpreting this character different. Did you try a different template and see if this problem persists?

There is no problem if you replace DS with "/". The only thing that might be is that a futuring version of jOpenSim will overwrite this again and you would have to do this again. The main reason, why DS should be used in Joomla is the compability between windows (where DS will be replaced with "\") and Linux (DS = "/").

If you have the possibility (and time and mood) to try out another template with the original code, please let me know if this was the problem.

I have tried using the 3 standard Joomla templates (and 2 admin templates), using windows7 and vista and through "localhost" and an external ip.
Using:
Apache/2.2.14 (Win32) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.14 OpenSSL/0.9.8l mod_autoindex_color PHP/5.3.1 mod_apreq2-20090110/2.7.1 mod_perl/2.0.4 Perl/v5.10.1

In every case the maps are displayed in IE and Chrome, but not in Firefox.

Hope this gives you more information. For the moment I will stick to changing DS to '/'.

Once again you pointed me to another bug Of course DS should be used for file paths for compability, but the slash in url's is ALWAYS / ... even for windows server

Another fix I have to do for the next version, thanks
